Yunnan border ports, a kind of special zone, plays a significant role of logistics hinge. The incomplete logistics system of Yunnan to its surrounding countries is unable to meet the rapid economic developmental requirements of the entire area. This essay aims to empower the economic development of Yunnan through the update of the logistics system of Yunnan border ports and the exploration and extension of domestic trade and foreign trade at the border areas.In the recent years in the field of regional logistics research, plenty of valuable conclusions have been reached except for the research in the Yunnan border ports. The subject research of this essay makes up for the blankness, and also systemizes the research in Yunnan border ports and meanwhile enriches the academic achievements in this field.The methodology applied in the essay involves the theory and thought method Logistics Management, Economic Management, Regional Economics, International Economics and Econometrics and so on.This essay clarifies its point of views from three aspects.Firstly, the paper describes the current logistics status and demand of Yunnan border ports.Secondly, the paper analyses the logistics system should be optimized from three aspects: logistics nodes, logistics channels and developmental environment.Thirdly, the paper chooses RuiLi as a case based on the theory research.
