The Financial Services Industry To Gather The Motivation

In the process of the construction of international financial centre of Shanghai, financial service industry became the focus of the society. The agglomeration of financial service industry can faster the development of financial service industry and promote the competition of the area. In recent years, there are lots of studies on industry agglomeration. But there are no agreement on the reason and formation of the agglomeration of the financial service industry. There are many studies on the agglomeration of manufacturing industries, but few about financial service industry's agglomeration. So far, the agglomeration of financial service industry in Shanghai has been emerged. But there is still distance to be the international financial centre. So the only way to prove the agglomeration of financial service industry and faster the construction of Shanghai's international financial centre is to know clearly the reason and the formation of financial service industry.This paper studies the subject from three layers, which is theory, experience and practice. At the beginning, this paper constructs a theoretic framework of financial service industry agglomeration and analyzes the reason and formation with industry economics, micro-economics, and other theories. After the research of the experience of financial service industry agglomeration of foreign countries, the paper uses an example to prove the theories ahead.The result shows that we can analyze the reason and formation of financial service industry with many theories, for example, industry economics, finance, micro-economics, financial geography, etc.. From the industry economics aspect, the agglomeration of financial service industry emerges as the industry agglomeration. From the finance aspect, the high liquidity of financial service industry speed up the agglomeration. From the micro-economics aspect, the scale economy will also faster the agglomeration. The government should realize the features of the financial service industry of the area and make proper policy to improve the agglomeration of area's financial service industry.
