Regional economic growth is the important part of our country's economy.The feature of nowadays is the rapid development of knowledge and the integration of regional economy. The development of regional economy concerns the whole country's economy. Nowadays the science and knowledge develops much more rapidly and it becomes one of the focuses of measuring one country's international competitive capability. Knowledge is an important means of competition and it can bring about spillover, the higher of one regional level is, the faster development of this regional economy will be.With the development of unbalanced regional economy, in eastern China knowledge accumulates at a high level and develops fast, so the knowledge spillovers effect is large. While in western China knowledge accumulates at a low level and develops slowly, so the knowledge spillovers effect is small. Finally the eastern economy is far ahead of western China. With the rapid development of economy, the knowledge spillovers effect will become more and more important. This paper can be divided into five chapters, each of which mainly concludes the contents as below:Chapter one firstly brings about the issue of knowledge spillovers which will be studied in this paper, then the purpose and the meaning of the research, the main analytic methods and the innovations.In chapter two, the paper retrospects some relevant literature and the academic results inland and abroad about knowledge spillovers. Review the theory of knowledge spillovers and the theory of regional economic growth.Chapter three mainly introduce the mechanism of knowledge of knowledge spillovers which contains its influence,effects,transmission path and measurement.Chapter four is the main part of this paper. Firstly use a large amount of data to analyze different factors in influencing the knowledge spillovers in eastern and western China by comparative analysis method. Then verify and test the different factors by empirical analysis method. At last get the knowledge spillovers effect on regional economic growth.Chapter five summarizes the result of the research and then put forward some suggestions of regional policy for the regional economic growth.
