A Research On Transportation Services Procurement Based On Multiple-round Combinatorial Auctions And Multi-attribute Method

Confronted the rapid development of global market economy and information technology, all enterprises are under the pressure of fast change of market demand, shorter delivery and cost cutting. Therefore, an efficient and quick responding modern logistic system becomes a more and more determinative factor for a business to survive and develop. As transportation cost is the most influential factor in whole logistic cost, taking up about 35%-50%, so transportation service procurement decision-making is very important in logistic outsourcing. In the mean time, with fast development of e-business, transportation service e-procurement based on internet began to come up. In such background, this paper put forward a research on transportation service e-procurement. The aim and signification of this paper lies in:at both transportation service buyer and supplier's perspective, by studying combinatorial auction model and multi-attribute bid decision method, this paper provides a feasible transaction mechanism and correct decision-making approach for both sides. Moreover, this paper provides some guideline ideas for the application of combinatorial auction on service procurement area. I hope it can provide certain assistance to business that want to conduct transportation service e-procurement.This paper mainly works on the below aspects:firstly, quoted both domestic and abroad studies, give a objective analysis on basic theory of transportation service procurement and combinatorial auction. And then discusses the feasible trade mode through an analysis of transportation service procurement mode, thereby establish a combinatorial auction transaction mechanism in the transportation service procurement situation. In the next chapter, after analyzing the strategy of both buyer and supplier, this paper establishes combinatorial auction model and multi-attribute bid decision model to guide both sides to a correct decision. In the end, the author gives an arithmetical example to verify practical application of this method, and then summarizes and proposes a suggestion for future study.This paper mainly focused on the theory and application of combinatorial auction within the environment of transportation service procurement. Hopefully the predominant function from the combination of combinatorial auction and multi-attribute decision-making method would be fully made use of, and consequently promote both sides to achieve win-win and gain most benefits.
