Yu's treatise on "cold-induced Febrile Diseases" was acknowledged to be number one guide for comprehensive diagnosis related to affiliated symptoms happened in different seasons. Genchu Yu's study on moderating the febrile and the warm has become one school which was full of distinctive features. It was also compatible to manage febrile and warm disease by Academic Shao; and to verify these diseases simultaneously. This just differentiated Academic Shao from other Zhongjing's sects. Genchu Yu stressed the importance of convalescing through care, rest and nourishment. Yu also provided complete theory and medication to become a standard as the characteristic of his research. This was a great contribution to medical science by Yu's efforts on Zhongjin's theory.The points of this thesis are to study Genchu Yu's succeeding and enhancing ZhongJin's theroy. They are listed below.1. The origin of Academic Shao on "Cold-induced Febrile Diseases":It discusses the initial stage, foundation and continuation of Academic Shao. We understand that the Genchu Yu established the theory system of Academic Shao by Yu's works:"the Compendium of Cold-induced Febrile Diseases" This is why the people said Genchu Yu was the representative of Academic Shao because Genchu Yu thoroughly devoted himself to the development of Academic Shao's therory.2. Genchu Yu's unparalleled narration in the symptoms verified by six main meridians:Yu's treatise, "Cold-induced Febrile Diseases" was on the basis of six main meridians to heal miscellaneous diseases. He emphasized and proved the importance of six main meridians and triple heater (three visceral cavities) according to the concomitance of the febrile and the warm. It was principle to release the depression and to clear the heat for healing cold-induced febrile disease. He also stressed the necessity of remedy and nourishment by means of the recovered care. Besides, Yu' s diagnosis on the eye and abdominal palpation was very distinctive as well.3. Genchu Yu's innovation on six main meridians and clinical medicine:These prescriptions were found, designated or invented by Yu in accordance with the classical and current methods. Yu's six methods and his 101 experienced prescriptions would be narrated and discussed below.
