Objective:Scientifically evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture to periarthritis humeroscapularis based on clinical cases of distal acupoint with the Local acupoints acupuncture to periarthritis humeroscapularis, thus offerscientific evidence to promotion and application of acupuncture.Method:Take cohort study as the method and patients with duration of pain of periarthritis humeros capularis (course 1≤month) in January 2010-2010 on April Acupuncture Guang'anmen Hosp ital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences as the object. Patients are divided into two groups according to natural exposure, including 20 cases in test group and 20 in control group. Patients in test group are cured with distal acupoint(acupoint:Zhongping point) acupuncture with the local acupoints (acupoints:Jianyu, Jianzhen, Jianliao, Jianqian)and Ashi acupoint acupuncture, while the control group only adopts local acupoints (acupoints:Jianyu, Jianzhen, Jianliao,Jianqian) and Ashi acupoint acupuncture. We adopt periarthritis humero scapularis pain VAS as main outcome index, periarthritis humeroscapularis Constant-Murley as minor outcome index, which are used to evaluate clinical efficacy before treatment,2-week treat ment and 4week-treatment.Result:VAS of test group decreases to 1.15±0.87 after treatment from 7.65±1.18, while VAS for control group decreases to 2.20±1.15 after treatment from 7.80±1.05. VAS of both groups decreased significantly (P<0.01) after the treatment, indicating that the subjective symptoms of pain of patients in two groups improved after the treatment. ROM of patients in test group increases to 54.60±6.19 from 17.30±12.38 after treatment, while ROM of patients in control group increases to 45.80±9.94 from 18.20±12.47 after treatment. ADL of patients in test gro up increases to 18.05±2.30 from 6.05±5.32 after treatment, while ADL of patients in control group increases to 18.05±2.30 from 6.05±5.32 after treatment. The results show that ROM and ADL measured at the end of treatment have increased significantly than benchmark, whi ch also indicate the comparatively significant improvement in dysfunction of periarthritis humeroscapularis and daily living capabilities after treatment ROM and ADL comparison between two groups after treatment shows that two groups have made significance (P<0.05), i.e. test group receives better improvement in dysfunction of periarthritis humeroscapularis and daily living capabilities after treatment than control group. In other words, the above description indicates that distal acupoint with of local aqupo ints acupuncture in test group gives better efficacy than control group which takes local acupoints acupuncture only. Conclusion:The treatment of distal acupoint with of local aqupoints acupuncture gives sign Ifi cantly better efficacy to periarthritis humeroscapularis patients than local acupoints a cupuncture treatment, which indicates that Zhongping point is the effective distal acu point for curing periarthritis humeroscapularis. Zhongping point is definitely helpful to improve clinical efficacy of periarthritis humeroscapularis treatment and shorten t he course of treatment. In addition, it is safe and reliable since no adverse reaction occurred. It is worth promoting and applying to clinic.
