Methods By means of stereological quantitative microscopy we studied terminal villi ,villous vascularities of placentas those placentas were divided into five groups : group A-9 placentas froiii pregnancies complicated by mild PJH; group B-9 placeiitas from pregnancies complicated by moderate PIH; group C-9 placentas from pregnancies complicated by severe PIH; group D-9 placentas from pregnancies complicated by placenta previa; group E-9 placentas from uncomplicated pregnancies from 28 to 42 weeks of gestation Resu its 1. Volume of placenta no significant difference was found between the five groups(P>O.05). 2. Volume proportions of placental villi : volume proportions ol placental infarct villi in severe PIH and moderate PIH were significantly higher than those in mild PIH . placenta previa and control group (PO.05). 5. Volume density of villous capillary : significant difference was found between the five groups (P<0.05) . the sequence of diameter of villous capillary reflected from the results was: mild PIH >control group> moderate and severe PIH >placenta previa. 6. Ratio of surface to volume in placental villi and illous capillary: About the ratio of surface to volume in placental villi, significant difference was found between the five groups (i<0. 05).the sequence of diameter of villi reflected from the results was:control group > placenta previa >mild PIH >inoderate P11-I> severe PIH . about the ratio of surface to volume in villous capillaiy ,significant difference was found between the five groups (P< 0.05) . the sequence of diameter of villous capillaiy reflected from the results was : mild PIH>control group>moderate PIH and severe PIH >placenta previa. Conclusions 1. Volume proportions of placental infarct villi in moderate Pill and severe PIH are higher. 2. The thickness of VSM in mild PIH is thiner than that in control group. 3. There is an increased perfusion in placenta of mild PILl, the diameter of villous capillary of mild PIH becomes biger. However ,there is a reduced perfusion in placenta of moderate and severe PIH , the diameter of villous capillaiy of moderate PIH and severe P11-I becomes smaller. 4. No significant difference of placental pathologic changes is found between placenta previa and P11-I... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Pregnancy-induced hypertention (PIH), Placenta, Stereology | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
