Clinical And Experimental Research, In Shu Governor Mixture Treatment Of Active Ankylosing Spondylitis

Objective: To explore the effect and mechanism of ShuDu(SD) mixture in treating Ankylosing Spondylitis (As) in active state. Methods: The patients of AS .were randomly divided into two groups 34 patients were treated with SD mixture and 30 patients treated with indomethacin for control. Animal experiments were also conducted. Results: Clinical Observation showed that the markedly effective rate of the SD mixture group( 55. 88%) was superior to the control group (26.67%, P(O. 01), but the total rate of the two groups were similar. The treat group had better effect of relieving symptoms of joints, improving function of joints, preventing degeneration of hone and improving laboratory parameters than that of control group (P<0.05, P(0.Ol) . In animal experiments, SD showed its inhibition on granulation formation, adjuvant arthritis in rats and the serum TNF梐 and IL? level of AA in mice . SD mixture could reduce the inflammatory pathologic response of ankle joint in rats. It functions well as analgesics. There was no effect on thymus index and spleen index. Conclusions: SD mixture had effect of anti梚nflammation, analgesic, inflammation mediator inhibition, inununity regulation and hemorrheology improvement.
