Eight-dimensional Pulse And Hemodynamic Study

Pulse feeling is the important diagnostic method in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Because traditional pulse feeling method takes twenty-eight pulses as mostly clinical pulse condition, there are much limitation on the practical application and research. "Eight-Element Pulse Way" synthetically concluded the differ levels of eight elements constituents of pulse condition - pulse location, breadth, length, frequency, rhythm, strength, volubility and tension, called "Eight- Element Pulse Condition". "Eight-Element Pulse Condition" can offer full and integrated pulse message and avoid its loss.In the clinical study, 700 patients were diagnosed with "Eight-Element Pulse Way". Results showed that 158 species of pulse were diagnosed. It sufficiently embodied that "Eight-Element Pulse Condition" can diagnose actuality and diversity clinical pulse condition. The study summarized more than twenty types of familiar pulse.Using color Doppler flow imagine, 60 ordinary persons were observed on anatomy location and hemodynamics of the cunkou pulse. Results showed that with the pulsate of radial artery there were the transformation on the distance of skin to radial artery, inside diameter and the length of color flow column. At the same time the thickness of blood vessels and area influenced the space location of the cunkou pulse. And the blood vessels velocity, time, blood vessels index also played important part in the pulsate status of the cunkou pulse.202 patients were observed by ultrasound. The results indicated that different levels of eight pulse elements existed obvious diversity on the location of blood vessels and fluid dynamics parameters. On pulse location the distance of skin to radial artery, area ratio, acceleration, deceleration and resistive index were of good value. On pulse breadth the inside diameter, area, area ratio, flow, maximum velocity and deceleration were of good value.The length of color flow column,the distance of skin to radial artery, area and flow were of good value on length. The distance of skin to radial artery, inside diameter, area, area ratio, pulsate index and flow were of good value on pulse strength. On pulse volubility deceleration, deceleration time and the thickness of blood vessels were of good value. The thickness of blood vessels, inside diameter, area, flow, the length of color flow column, maximum velocity, acceleration and deceleration time were of good value on pulse tension. These objective parameters reflected the transformation rules of the pulse multi-properties and offered some quantum index of pulse elements.
