B-flow Technology In The Clinical Value Of Early Detection Of Tiny Blood Clots And Venous Valvular Disease Of The Peripheral Vascular Discussed

purposeUsing Bright - mode blood flow imaging ( B - flow) to check the vein valve disease and the peripheral vascular thrombus in order to judge the value of it in using in clinical and find it's advantages and shortages, so that can provide a relatively better method for clinical working in finding such kind of disease in their early stage.Methods72 patients 144 vascular suffered from vascular diseases or suspected of these were examined from May 2001 to February 2003 which included 74 carotid arteries and 70 deeper veins of the legs. Male: 47; female: 25. Age: 62. 3(17 -88) years old. Each arteries and veins would have been examined by B - flow and CDFI, and B - mode as the standard of the image quality, then analysis the results of the two difference methods. The equipment is the LOGIQ 700 from GE company , liner transducer with frequency 5 - 10MHZ.ResultsAccording to my study, the patients were divided into 3 groups: 1. The thrombus group: 52 thrombus were founded by B - mode, in which, 51 by B -flow, 30 by CDFI, and to the thrombus which diameter lower than 0.3cm, 36 cases founded by B - mode, 35 by B -flow, 14 by CDFI. Tested by x2 Test, P <0.01.2. Valve functional disorder group: According to Valsalva Test, there were 32 veins with reflux, seen directly by B - flow were 28 cases, by CDFI were 23 cases, Tested by x2 Test, P >0.05. And the other 38 deeper veins of legs were normal both on clinic and on images.In the normal vein, there are a couple of valves, each of them is like a smoothly ,slightly bright line, when they closesed, the tip of them make up a sharp angle and the peak of them pointed to head.In the functional disorder valve, there were 5 conditions: prolapse ; small thrombus under the valve; thicken and atrophy; tiny; absence.3. Complex blood flow group: B - flow can saw the direct and nature of the blood clearly, but in CDFI, some higher velocity shown as mixed and disorderly colors and some lower velocity cant shown at all.ConclusionAs a new method, B - flow's pictures'quality is better than the traditional methods, for example: in (1) observation the early change of endomambrane diseases; (2) observation the moving and function of the values; (3) observation the complex blood flow such as vortex, B - flow can developed its advantages.But, what is must be pointed out is: B - flow also has some shortages such as: can t provide velocity information by itself, the range of focus is narrow, there are flashing in the pictures and can't provide good pictures of deeper tissues.
