BXHJ is the prescription originating from the clinical experiences of professor ZhangXiaoXing .It has the functions of strengthening the Heart-Qi, activating the blood-circulation and releasing the abundant water from the body and has been proved in the earlier stage of clinical experiments that it has a definite function of curing CHF. With the modern medical theory and methods, our study will probe the positive effect of BXHJ upon the process of myocardium remodeling process from the experimental point of view, then probe the mechanism of how it prevents and cures CHF and therefore provide theoretical arguments for the clinical promotion of this compound herb medicine. Methods:Using wistar mice ,we set up the CHF models by CAA .The mice were divided randomly into seven groups: normal group, model group, BXHJ's HD group (TCM HD group), TCM MD group, TCM LD group, enalapril group (Western medicine group), and feigned operation group, observing the general situations including respiratory, blood-pressure, appetite and activities, taking measurements of the weight of the hearts and the diameter of the left ventricular cavity. A RIA method was used to study the impact of BXHJ on the density of Angll in the blood plasma of the mice; The impact of BXHJ on the density of IL-6 in the blood plasma of the mice was studied by ELISA kits. The pathological changes of the heart tissue of the mice in different groups were observed under the optical microscope. Results:1. Heart coefficient: There was significant difference when the TCM HD group and the western medicine group were compared with the model group (p<0. 01). There was no difference when the TCM MD group and LD group were compared with the model group.2 Blood-pressure: There was no significant difference when the TCM HD group, TCM MD group and western medicine group were compared with the model group. There was no difference when the TCM LD group was compared with the model group.3. Angll in blood plasma: There was significant difference when the TCM HD group, TCM MD group and western medicine group were compared with the model group(p<0. 01); There was no difference when TCM LD group was compared with the model group.4. IL-6 in blood plasma: There was significant difference when TCM HD group and western medicine group were compared with the model group. There was difference when the MD group was compared with the model group. There was no difference when the TCM LD group was compared with the modelgroup.5.The change of the tissue structure of the hearts of the mice: Compared with in the normal group, in the model group the cardiac muscle cells were much bigger and there were much more parallel connections and series connections of sarcomeres. The fibroblasts had an obvious change of hypertrophy and hyperplasia.Com- pared with in the model group, in the TCM HD group. TCM MD group and western medicine group, the cardiac muscle cells were nearly normal or just had a slight degree of hypertrophy and hyperplasia, there was no significant change in the tissue structure when the TCM LD group was compared with the model group .6. The diameter of the left ventricular cavity: Compared with the model group. The TCM HD group and western medicine group had bigger diameter of left ventricular cavity ,the difference was significant (p<0. 01). There were no difference among the TCM MD group ,LD group and model group. ConclusionsBXHJ could affect the remodeling process of ventricular muscles in difference ways and has positive importance in the treatment of CHF, and therefore deserves further researching and developing .
