PART ONEAn experimental study of effects of hyaluronidaseand apigeninon on invasive potential ofhuman breast cancer cel linesObjective: To evaluate the effects of hyaluronidase (Hyase) and apigenin related to invasive potential of human breast cancer cel lines. Methods: In vitro experiments and ELSA were carried out to determine the expression of hyaluronidase and the capacities of penetrating matrigel of 8 kinds of human breast cance cells and the effect of apigenin at various concentrations respectively. Results: The invasive potentials of eight cell lines expressing different levels of Hyase varied significantly , and the penetrating capacity was significantly stronger in cell lines with higher-level of Hyase expression (Hyase>0.1mU/L) than those of lower ones (Hyase<0.1mU/L) (p<0.05) . After apigenin treatment, invasive capacity was decreased in all cell lines whether it expressed high or low level of Hyase previous ,and the deduction was related to the doses of apigenin. Conclusion: The invasive and metastatic capacity of tumor is related to the expression of Hyase and may be suppressed by apigenin Key words: Breast cancer cell lines; Hyaluronidase; Apigenin; Invasion; Inhibition...
