Objective: To research the functional mechanism of how Liver-Qi depression affect gastrointestinal motility.Method: The Liver-Qi depression animal model was made with the methods of pattern accompanying water bath and the general physical condition of rats was observed. The gastrointestinal drive rate of rats were measured according to the movement of ink . The neurotransmitter DA in hypothalamus, blood and dodecadactylon was determined with spectrofluorometer. The model rats' amplitude and frequency of gastric electricity , frequency and tensile force of gastrointestinal muscle in vitro were surveyed with multipurpose polygraph.Results: 1. The ingestion dose and automobilization of model rats havereduced and body weight gain has decreased. 2. The model rats'gastrointestinal movement were slower clearly compared with controlled rats. 3. Compared with controlled rats ,the model rats' amplitude of gastric electricity , frequency and tensile force of gastrointestinal muscle decreased significantly . 4.The NEx DA and 5-HT in hypothalamus. plasma and dodecadactylon of rats changed significantly.Conclusion: Liver-Qi depression restrain gastrointestinal motion by affecting neurotransmitter of monoamine, gastroelectromyograph and gastrointestinal muscle tensile.
