Objective: To probe into pilose' s influence on the 'express of bFGF in bone healing of experimental fracture in male SD rats. Methods: The experiment was randomly divided into five groups, contrast group (A), model group (B), SHANG KE JIE GU PIAN group (C), low dose pilose group (D), high dose pilose group (E). We established the model by artificially making the right tibia fracture in anaesthetized rats except group (A), and kill 5 rats of every group in turn after 1, 2, 3 week, rats of group (A) are killed in the third week. We make wax lump of bone and ossification, to express bFGF by technology of immunohistochemical, analysis it by computer and observe the thick of ossification under HE microscope. Results: There are more bFGF and thicker ossification in group C and E than in contrast group (P<0. 01). The result of group C is inferior to that of group E. Conclusion: high dose pilose can enhance the express of bFGF, and increase the thick of ossification in experimental rats , it would be a kind of mechanism that pilose can improve the bone healing.
