Objective: To-detect the action of the traditional .Chinese medicines"Yi Tang Kang" to the diabetic DNA damage,Method:In the animal experiment , 22 Wister rats were used to induce diabetes: treatment with traditional Chinese medicines and the control group; And 20 diabetes sufferers were usect: Yi Tang Kang and routine treatment .group in the clinical observe. Both had normal group. DNA damage was detected by single cell gel electrophoresis comet assay in lymphocytes.Result :The study showed that the normal rats/healthies has no comet length and the comparison of the comet length between the group of"Yi Tang Kang" and the control group has significance. (p<0. 01, the group of "Yi Tang Kang" : 15. 52 ± 4.10μm/48. 82 ± 3. 53μ m; the control group: 27. 63±7. 27μm/54. 44±4.60μm). Conclusion: The traditional Chinese medicines "Yi Tang Kang" can prevent from or repair the diabetic DNA damage.
