Boryeong Granules To Reduce Bleeding After Medical Abortion Clinical And Experimental Research

Mifepristone combining with misoprdostorl for termination of early pregnancy has been used in large scales of clinical trails in our country. But there are still some problems for unsatisfactory abortion rate,prolonged bleeding time and menorrhagia,induced by incomplete abortion. Traditional Chinese medicine has some advantages for treating the problems.My director professor Jiang-kun thinks that the cause of large bleeding is that Qi and bleeding was blocked. So the methods of treature should be activating blood circulation ,making Qi move smoothly,tonifing Qi and clearing away the heat. The clinical study was performed as follows 100 women of early preganacy were randomly treated with mifepristone 150mg combined misoprostol 600ug for 3th day as a control group ï¼›100 women of early preganacy use mifepristone after the abortion adding 12g BaoNing dose twice a day as a treat group. The results show ed that the bleeding time of the treat group were shorter than the contract group (p<0.05).There was no statistic difference for the next amenornhea between the two groups .The pathogenic experimental study was performed as follows 90 women with early preganacy were divided randomly into the following four groups. 10 specimens were obtained by curettage on the day immediately after expulsion of gestational sac ,30 specimens on the 7th postabortal day ,30 specimens adding Chinese medicine on the 7th postabortal day and 20 specimens abnormal bleeding after abortion using mifepristone respectively. The histopathologic changes lf the specimens were observed by HE staining study the difference of histopathology of Endometrium among 4 groups . The specimens of 2th and 3th group were observed by optical and electric microscopy .Results showed that in addition to incomplete abortion,the retardation of deciduous shedding and impairment of endometrium regeneration were responsible for the abnormal bleeding following termination of early preganacy using mifepristoneï¼› Decidual tissure of 3th were more extensive and severer degeneration than those of 2th. The ultrastructures of decidual of 3th showed the regressive changes became more serious. The study of the function of the ovarion was performed as 40 women. 20 women were randomly treated with mifepristone 150mg combined misoprostol 600ug for 3th day as a control group : 20 women of early preganacy use mifepristone after the abortion adding 12g BaoNing twice a day as a treat group. 40 women all on the 8th postabortalday tested the levels of estradiol and progesterone in the plasma. Theconclusion showed the ovarian function of 2 groups were not different .
