Objective: To investigate the effect of focused ultrasound on invasion of SMMC7721 cells after treatment of focused ultrasound in vitro.Methods: According dose-effect relation ,we decided a dose: 0.8MHz,20W,25s .Under this dose, most cells were died and the alive rate was thirty percent. We examined the diffirent cell numbers invasing through the Matrigel of invasion chamber between the alive SMMC7721 cells received focused ultrasound irradiation in vitro and normal SMMC7721 cells.Results: After receiving focused ultrasound irradiation, the numbers invasing through the Matrigel of invasion chamber of alive SMMC7721 cells were reduced. The invasive cells in control group were 38±10.52,though in treated group were 13.47±4.05. Conclusion: Focused ultrasound can reduce the ability of invasion and metastasis of alive SMMC7721 cells.
