| It is an important routine examination item in clinical laboratory for the examination of bone marrow smear and blood smear under the microscope. With wide application in the field of medical science of the computer technology, the digital image analysis system has entered the study of biomedical cell's morphology, and it is playing a bigger and bigger role in the study of quantitative cell's morphology. This thesis presents an image analysis and reporting system for bone marrow cells based on microcomputer according to the real demand of clinical laboratory in the hospital. Using this reporting system, physician can carry on cell classifying, counting and morphological analysis to the bone marrow smear on the computer's display screen and can complete the accurate image and text report rapidly and conveniently. Compared with traditional manual method, it not only can lighten the visual fatigue for physicians but also can raise the precision of diagnosis. This thesis also presents an approach to measurement and calculation for a part of morphological and texture parameters of bone marrow cells according to clinical practice and demand of laboratory research work as well as the characteristics of bone marrow images. The mergence of cell's morphological quantitative research, has more extensive application prospect. This thesis has introduced especially a system design, function characteristic, operation method of image analysis and reporting system for bone marrow cells, and the definition and the algorithm of some relevant quantitative analysis parameters as well as reference value during clinical diagnosis, also has probed into the direction and trend of its development further in the last chapter of this thesis. The research and development work of this thesis can be expected to offer the clearer, more convincing, higher level examination analysis report to hospital clinical laboratory, also to do contribution for the improvement of whole diagnosis level of the hospital. The developed system has already come into operation in the hospital clinicallaboratory. |
