Objective: This experiment passes the treatment of Chinese traditional medicine-benefit-heart-soup (BHS) of different dosage to the experiment rats of myocardium infarct, in order to observe thesituation of angiogenesis, which is short of blood vessel district, and probe into its function mechanism.Methods: Feed Wistar rats of myocardium infarct with sodium chloride and the BHS in large, medium, and small dose separately. After six weeks, kill them to get blood of heart and keep the specimen of heart. Observe the effects of BHS on the area of blocking up, density of blood vessels in the edge district of the rats' left ventricle with myocardium infarct, and the content of VEGF in the edge district of the rats' left ventricle with myocardium infarct and CD34+ cells in the blood by contrast.Consequences:(1) The BHS can reduce the area of heart attack notably. There is extraordinary difference between the BHS in Large and medium content dosage and the contrast groups (p<0.01). In 3 treating groups, there exists big difference (p<0.01). But there is no notable difference between the small content group and the contrast group (p>0.05). (2) The BHS can increase density of blood vessel in the edge District of the rats' left ventricle with myocardium infarct notably. There is marked difference between the BHS group in the large and medium dosage, and the contrast group (p<0.01). Different density can cause different result, in 3 treating groups; there exists big difference (p<0.01). There is no notable difference between the small dosage group and the contrast group (p>0.05). (3) The BHS can increase the content of VEGF in the edge District of the rats' left ventricle with myocardium infarct notably. There is notable difference between the large and medium content groups and the contrast group (p<0.01). There is large difference between the large and small groups (p<0.01), and also between the medium and small groups (p<0.01). There is no notable difference between the large and medium dosage groups (p>0.05), and also between the small dosage group and the contrast group (p>0.05). (4) The BHS can increase the content of CD34+ cell in the blood notably. There is notable difference between the treating groups and the contrast group (p<0.01). There is large difference between the large and medium groups (p<0.01), and also between the large and small groups (p<0.01). There is no distinctive difference between the medium and small groups (p<0.01).Conclusion:(1) The BHS promotes angiogenesis on the rats of myocardium infarct. Reduce the area of heart attack notably, increase density of blood vessel in the edge district of the rats' left ventricle with myocardium infarct notably. (2) This experiment proved too that the promoting angiogenesis mechanism of BHS relates to mobilizing the stem cell in the bone marrow to the blood and increasing the production of VEGF which is short of blood district at the same time...
