Chinese Medicine And Clinical Observation Of Acupuncture Treatment Of Infertility

OBJECT:Based on the review of medical publication and clinical research, this study use thecombination of acupuncture and Chinese medicine to treat infertility caused by thefollowing syndromes:i) Follicular malderelopmentii) Inadequacy of the corpus luteum functioniii) Obstruction of the fallopian tubeiv) Immunological abnormalityMETHOD:40 patients were selected and will be evaluated before and after the treatment.Parameters observe included their menstrual pattern, dysmenorrheal severity, breastengorgement, patency of their fallopian tube, pregnancy rate and basal bodytemperature.RESULT:The study showed that the treatment is effective in reducing the patient's gynaeiological symptoms (P<0.01). The BBT also revealed better ovulation pattern after treatment (P<0.05). Pregnancy rate was 57.5% after treatment. The combined improvement for all parameters is 82.5 %.CONCLUSION:The combination of medicine and acupuncture is effective in the regulation of zang-fu function, improving circulation, and ovarian function and immune. System.These improvement will lead to an increase in pregnancy rate. Hence this study has its advantages and value.
