| Hysteromyoma is the most common benign tumor in female genital organs and one of the tumors seen frequently in human. Its prevalence rate in women who are in child-bearing period is about 20%~25% which shows the rising trend year by year. Main symptoms for hysteromyoma include menstruation alterations such as the mount of the menstruation increases, menostaxis and anomalous vagina bleeding, leucorrhea increasing, abdominal pain and sour waist, inferior belly falling, breaking and expanding, compression symptom, infertility and secondary anemia.In Chinese medicine hysteromyoma belongs to the eategory of 'zhengjia' and 'shijia'. The name, pathology and symptom were stated in Lingshu-Shuizhang: shijia is born infetus......gas cant pass, so vicious blood which should be bled cant flow so that it staysin the body, then dilatate just like a cup. And menstruation cant happen on time. Past dynasties doctors have clarified this kind of disease a lot. It is the coincident cognition that gas and blood cant run smoothly so that Chong and Ren cant be stabilized and gas and blood are damaged. In modern medicine, it is thought that the grown up of hysteromyoma depends on the long time estrogenic stimulation. Progestogen is found to play the important roles in its growth in recent years. Hysteromyoma plays mal-function as blood stasis. Formative blood clot affects the normal shrink of uterus. Old blood cant be kept out of the body and new blood cant enter veins and arteries correspondingly. So it is out of veins which leads to Chong and Ren veins aren't firm, the mount of menstruation increases, the period of menstruation prolongs or blood bleeds constantly.Qishaozhixue Granule is clinical experience prescription and shows the apparent effects. It aims directly at the mount of menstruation increasing, menostaxis, stasis in the body caused by gas faint when hysteromyoma. There are qi-benifiting herbs like Huangqi, Baishao, Baizhu, Yimucao and stabilizing Chong and hemostasis herbs like Qiancao, Chaopuhuang, Sanqi, Huaruishi, Shengmuli, et al. These two parts are matched with each other to bring into full play of filling gas and strengthening spleen qi.
