Topical Application Of Periodontal Antimicrobial Agent In The Treatment Of Acute Gingivitis, Periodontitis Efficacy Observed

In this paper, we studied the clinical curative of chinese medicine preparation-yazhouyijunji subgingivally administered,which principlal includes scutellaria(huanqin), lonicera(jingyinhua) and moutan(danpi) etc. To evaluate the clinical effect of subgingivally administering the yazhouyijunji the auxiliary treatment of acute gingivitis and periodontitis Methods: In this paper, Arandomized, blind, splitmouth study was designed. We choiced 24 patients ,in every patient we selected several the similar teeth separately in the left and right as the treated group and the contral group, Before initial therapy we apply the yazhouyijunji and dianganyou locally to the treated group and the contral group. Yazhouyijunji was administered into the periodontal pocket of treatment sides at base line and two days, but the control sides had been used dianganyou by the same ways. Standard clinical indices(including PD, GI, SBI and PLI) and response to ointments we reevaluated at baseline,two days and four days . The results of this study are as follows: Indices of both groups showed significant improvement(P<0.01) on the fourth days compared with baseline, it shows the two ointments have good anti-acute inflammationIn effect. After applying the two ointments , all indices(GI, PD, SBI) of the two groups showed significantly differences(p<0.05)at four days except PLI (p>0.05),which were been statisticsed by spss11.0. Sides treated with yazhouyijunji always produced statistically significantly greater reduction than the control sides with dianganyou,but PLI of the two groups showed no difference(P>0.05). In summary, The study showed that the total validity rate of the test group was 75.30% and of the control one was 52.94% , we could learn that yazhouyijunji have better anti-acute inflammation effect than dianganyou. Conclusion: Administration of the Chinese medicine preparation-yazhouyijunji at subgingivally periodontal pocket as the auxiliary treatment of acute gingivitis and periodontitis could get good clinical results.
