Electro-acupuncture At Different Acupoints Comparison Of The Effects On Myocardial Ischemia Of Vegf Gene Expression

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of electroacupuncture on expression of VEGF in the acute myocardial ischemic area in hearts of rabbits. METHODS: 30 healthy adult rabbits were randomly devided into 5 groups. Electroacupunture was given at the point of Daling, Neiguan, Ximen after the ligation of the anterion descending branch of the left coronary antery for 20 min. And the expression of VEGF and VEGFmRNA in myocaidial ischemic of AMI model rats was studied by SABC-VEGF immunohisto-chemical staining. And NO by method of nitrate reductase Adopting in situ hybridization of molecule. RESULTS: Electroacupunture could significantly increase the expressions of VEGF in the hearts. Electroacupunture could significantly increase and NO contend decreased significantly CONCLUSION: Electroacupunture could significantly increase the expressions of VEGF in the hearts of rabbits. And NO are possibly involved in electroacupuncture improving acute myocardial ischemia and the correlative connection of The Percardium Meridian with the heart.
