Polygonum Orientale Pharmacognosy Research

Systematic pharmacognosy study of fruits of polygonum orientale L. is carried out by plant morphology, macroscopic morphology, microscopic morphology and chemical constituents, etc. in this thesis.Some researches were conducted for the first time, including transverse section of fruits, comparisions of powder characteristics between the ripe and unripe fruits.Through some chromatographic methods such as silica gel and PTLC etc., 7 monomers have been isolated from the fruits of polygonum orientale L. , and 5 monomers including 2 flavonoids , 2 ellagic acids and 1 triterpene, were identified by physical-chemical properties and spectrum data. They are quercetin( Ⅰ ), taxifolin(Ⅱ), 3,3' -di-O-methyl ellagic acid(Ⅲ), 3,3' -di- O-methyl ellagic acid-4-O- β -D-glucopyranoside( Ⅳ ) and β -sitosterol(Ⅴ). Among them, compound Ⅳ is isolated for the first time in polygonaceae, compound Ⅲ is obtained from polygonum orientale L. for the first time .Through optimum choice on different extracting methods by orthogonal experimental design ,we got the optimum extraction technology.,...
