Objective To evaluate the utility of 34βE12 , P63 and P504S immunohistochemistry in the diagnosis of prostatic adenocarcinoma .Methods To examine the cases with immunohistochemistry , including prostatic adenocarcinoma and benign prostatic hyperlasia , and to correlate the morphology with protein expression of 34βE12 , P63 and P504S .Results 97% cases of prostatic adenocarcinoma showed postitive stained for P504S , with strong cytoplasmic granular staining in 75% cases of prostatic adenocarcinoma . 2 cases of high grade PIN showed various expression levels of P504S . All the cases of BPH were negative for P504S . In the cases of BPH , the consecutive expression rate of 34βE12, P63 is 97% , and in the case of PIN , the distribution of 34βE12 and P63 is intermittent. Conclusions Immunohistochemistry study using a combination of P504S , 34βE12 and P63 may be of greater benefit for microscopy diagnosis of prostatic adenocarcinoma.
