Integrative Medicine, Clinical Observations, Treatment Of Children With Cough Variant Asthma

Objective: To observe the curative effect of children cough variant asthma treated by Chinese and Western medicine method, analyze the pathogenesis of this disease. To discussion the superiority of Chinese and Western medicine treatment in alleviates the clinical symptom and reduces the rate of recrudescence.Methods: 227 cough variant asthma children were collected, they all came from Wuhan children hospital breath faculty outpatient and divided into the treatment group and control group stochastically, treatment group 120 examples, male 69 examples, female 51 examples, age 2-12 years old, average age 4.4±2.9 years old; control group 107examples, male 58examples, female 49 examples, age 2.5-13 years old, average age 5.2 ±2.1 years old. All the children were given the common treatment including azithromycin powder and bambec oral liquid. At the same time, the children of the treatment group according to their different clinically stage, gave the corresponding Chinese materia medica. In acute episode added with feiyanchuanshu oral liquid; in remission stage added with jianpihuashi oral liquid. (Produce by Wuhan children hospital pharmaceutical factory). The lung function of his/her was measure before and after the therapy separately, monitored the clinically symptom change of the children. Make a follow-up visit for six months, observed the rate of recrudescence of two groups.Results: After being treated for a month, there were remarkable difference between the treatment group and control group in the clinically symptom (p<0. 01). In the lung function comparison, the treatment group had the remarkable improvement after the therapy (p<0. 01). Make a follow-up visit for six months, the rate of recrudescence of the treatment group was obviously lower than the control group, it had the significant difference (p<0. 01).Conclusions: Using the cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine to treated children cough variant asthma was effective. Compared with western medicine treatment, it had the significance difference in alleviates cough symptom aspect and in the lung function restoration, the rate of recrudescence was also lower than the control group.
