| Objective:To observe the effect of the Wuto Tang onadjuvant arthristis(AA) of rats.Methods: There were thirty-six wistar rats in thisexperiment. The animals were divided into four groups,that was, Wutou Tang group, tripterygium wilfordiigroup, saline group and normal group. They were perfusedwith saline, Wutou Tang or triprerygium wilfordii fortwenty-one days. Blood of all rats were drawn from femoralartery on the twenty-two day. IL-1β and nitric oxide weredetected.Results: Wutou Tang can ease the foot swelling of therats. It can lower the quantity of IL-1 β and Nitric oxidein the serum of rats. Wutou Tang group' s IL-1 β and nitricoxide were less than Saline group(p<0. 01).Conclusion:Wutou tang has the better therapeutic effect onthe AA of rats. The mechanism is probably that Wutou Tangcan lower the quantity of IL-1β and nitric oxide in theserum. So Wutou tang has the function of diminishinflammation and adjusting immunity. |
