Spleen And Kidney, Stasis Method Combined With Folfox-4 Regimen In The Treatment Of Advanced Colorectal Cancer Clinical Research

Based on the theory of TCM and clinical pratice, this thesis is a systemic and in-depth research on carcinoma of large intestine in mid-late stage. During the course of study, we focused on the scope of TCM syndromes, etiology, pathogenesis and key points to syndrome differentiation of carcionoma of large intestine and gradually fromed our own opinions. The root cause of the disease is vital qi deficiency, congenital impotence and deficiency of spleen and kidney. The basic pathogenesis is dampness, toxicity and blood stasis obstructed inside due to the deficiency of spleen and kicney. Dampness-heat, stagnation, toxicity and atasis are the Biao of the disease, while vital qi deficiency or deficiency of spleen and kidney is the root. Fuzhengyiai Tang was formulated stasis according to the principal of treatment which is tonyfying spleen and kidney, removing stasis and toxicity . 44 patients with mid-late stage carcinoma of large intestine were randomly devided into two groups.there were 22 patients in the treating group which was treated with FOLFOX4 chemical therapy authorized by FDA in the United states and Fuzhengyiai Tang. The rest were in the control group treated with chemical therapy. Symptoms of the patients in the treating group were markedly improved than those in the control group(P<0.05). the treatment group has significantly better effect on improving symptoms and survival quality compared with the control group(P<0.01). Ⅲ and Ⅳ side effect in alleviating the Ⅰ and Ⅱ side effect than the control group. Comprehensive treatment combined chemical therapy with tonifying spleen and kidney, removing stasis and toxicity has advantage over the single chemical therapy in improving the symptoms and survival quality and alleviating the side effect due to chemical therapy.
