Moxibustion Promote Erectile Function In Rats With Dm Ed No-cgmp Pathway Mechanism

Objective: To study the effect of moxibustion in NO-cGMP pathway of Erectile function in Diabetic rats.Method: 90 Male Sprague-Dawley rats with normal Erectile function were injected with streptozotozin (STZ) to make experimental models of diabetes mellitus(DM). then injected with apomorphine in all of the DM rats to select erectile dysfunction rats models with diabetes. the 10 normal rats is the Normal group, the ED rats were devided into Model group, Moxibustion group .The Moxibustion group received Moxibustion on acupoint Shenshu and Zhu San Li. Examine the change of Erectile of the three groups after the treatment. the method of nitric acid reductase, radioimmunodetection were used to study the effect of Moxibustion on the NOS, cGMP in the penis of rats. .Results: Moxibustion has some effects in decreasing the blood sugar of Diabetic rats;And has some effects in distinctly promoting the Erectile function of Diabetic rats;And distinctly increase the content of NOS, cNOS, iNOS and cGMP in the penis.Conclusion: Moxibustion has some effects in promoting the Erectile function of Diabetic rats. These effects probably correlated with the effects of moxibustion's function in promoting the NO-cGMP pathway of Erectile function. It is worthy of deeper investigation.
