To prevent urinary calculi's recurrence, at first, the qualitative and quantitative determination the calcium oxalate, then investigate the inhibitory effect of the active constituents from Chinese medicine Polygonum cuspidatum on the formation of urinary calcium oxalate calculus.The calcium oxalate dehydrate (COD) standard sample for the analysis of urinary calculi was synthesized by sodium oxalate and calcium chloride at existing the sodium citrate and phosphatidylcholine. Scanning electron microscopy, elementary analysis, thermogravimetry, X-ray diffraction and infrared spectra were used to studied the calcium oxalate dihydrate. The results show that the concentration of the synthesized calcium oxalate dihydrate can be used as the standard sample for the instrument analysis of the urinary calculi. Infrared spectrophotometry (FTIR) is an ideal analytical method and is most frequently used for the determination of the composition of urinary calculi. In this paper, to make use of Infrared spectrophotometry (FTIR), the qualitative and quantitative determination of calcium oxalate monohydrate (COM) and COD by their specific abosorption band were summarized, and compared the method of quantitative analysis.In lecithin-water liposomes, the inhibitory effects of different kinds of the active constituents from Chinese medicine Polygonum cuspidatum on the formation of urinary calcium oxalate calculus were reported. The results is the active constituent Emodin and Resveratrol had the strongest inhibition, and showed the inhibitory dependency of the pH and concentration in a certain range. The constituent in Polygonum cuspidatum played a key role in the inhibition of the formation of calcium oxalate calculus. When the liposomes60 mL, constitutes Ca2+,C2O42- 4.17×10-3 mol·L-1, is added 0.845 mg Resveratrol and 1.9 mg Emodin, the inhibitory effects will be better.
