Establishing of model of middle cerebral artery occlusion in rabbits by micro-pipe waysObsject: To establish a simple and practical model of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) in rabbits. Methods: A total of 50 Japan big ear rabbtswere randomly divided into three groups, A, B and C. Control group (group A,n=10) was sham-operated, micro- pipe group (group B, n=20) was experimentaI group to observe IBP wave shape for judgement standard of making successful middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO). Thread group (group C, n=20) wasjudgement by the length of thread inserred ICA. B and C group models werereperfusion 1 hour after MCAO, All of the animal models were graded by PHILIP way at 24h after the operation, specimens of the brain tissue were obtainedTTC staining were used to evaluate the level of ischemia and observe unde(?) rnicroscopy by HE staining. Results: B and C group models, cerebral infarction (?)egion at 24h after MCAO were detected. The successful rate was no saliencediversity between B and C group. Conclusion: MCAO model in rabbits estabished by the micro- pipe is an ideal way in making focal cerebral ischemia-repe fusion. |
