After The Use Of Clinical Research, Extension Traction Bed And Manipulative Treatment Of Lumbar Disc Herniation

Hernia Lumber Disc refer to a group of symptoms and body signs caused by pressure and stimulation to spinal marrow or nerve root due to fibrous ring rupture and pulpiform nucleus protrusion. Hernia Lumber Disc is one of commonly seen disorders in departments of orthopedics; and about one fifth of patients with pain in the lumber and leg have Hernia Lumber Disc. Because of pain resulting in limitation of movement ,working and daily life of patients` are greatly influenced. this research summarizes modern research of intervertebral disc and traditional Chinese medical for Hernia Lumber Disc .meanwhile this research objectively comments clinical effect of traction combine manipulation working on Hernia Lumber Disc with research methods of control and random.Objective : To evaluate clinical effect of back extend traction instrument combine manipulation on Patient with Hernia Lumber Disc. Methods:112 cases of Hernia Lumber Disc were treated and observed in in-patient clinic of orthopaedics of Daxing Red Star hospital from august 2006 to October 2007 .They were randomly divided into two groups :observation group 56 cases and control group 56 cases.The observation group was taken by back extend traction instrument combine manipulation,and the control group was taken by routine manipulation technique and contraction only.Taking the score of symptoms as chief effect indexes. Results:The results showed a total effective rate of 95.4% in observation group in comparison with that of 85.7% in control group on the score of symptoms.P<0.05.To compare the results between the two groups,there exited significant difference. Result after treatment for observation group :3 chief symptoms(pain in lumbar region,pain and/or numbness in buttock and lower extremity,and impairment of walking ),3 body signs(straight leg test,sensory disturbance ,myodynamia),6 activities in daily life (turning over body on bed,standing up,wash and brush ,bending lumbar region,remaining in sitting position for a long time -1 hour,holding or lifting up things) were all prior to control group.Conclusion: Back extend traction instrument combine manipulation is a safe and effective therapy for Hernia Lumber Disc.Manipulations and Traction are extremely important conservative therapy.
