Objective: To explore characteristic and cause of medical resource by analyzing status of allocation and utilization of Nanjing Medical Resource, in order to find the way adapt to Nanjing and to give advice to new allocation of medical institution.Methods: By analyzing the date and information about the development of Nanjing's medical resource state. Descriptive the structure of Nanjing's medical resource, and analyze the causation of it. Then forecast the development of Nanjing's medical resource and give some advice about medical policy.Results: Third class hospitals hold about 40% of all district's bed and personnel in 2005, while about 30% personnel in community medical institution. Community medical institution take on 30% of Nanjing's outpatient service, but the utilization of community hospital is less than 50%.Medical resource allocation and utilization concentrate to urban and senior institution. Private medical institutions focus in special domain and always run in urban area. The charge of outpatient service in different level hospitals is not significant. Difficulting in assort with other government institution of medical career, because many institution have the right about it. Enlarge the receiver by the development of Nanjing's traffic.Conclusion: Integrity of the system of Nanjing's medical resource, and the development of utilization and receiver, while impertinency in area allocation about medical resource, private medical institution are still need be oriented. Improving the power of communities medical service through defining the duty of government and adding finance. Making the good progress of every region by adjusting new resource give to.
