Objective To detect the Apoptosis Inhibitor Livin and the Cyclin D1 in basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus and research their effect and correlation in genesia and growth of the basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus.Material and Method Immunohistochemical method was used to examine the Apoptosis Inhibitor Livin and the Cyclin D1 in 30 cases of basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus and 18 cases of normal tissue in nasus externus and surveyed the correlation of them in the basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus. Results The dark yellow granular positive expressive product of the Apoptosis Inhibitor Livin was in cytolymph and the Cyclin D1 was in cellular nucleus and(or) cytoplasm. The positive expression rate of the Apoptosis Inhibitor Livin and Cyclin D1 in the basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus was significantly higher than in the normal tissue of nasus externus (P<0.01) and there were the positive correlation in them. There weren,t obvious association between the positive expression rate and the sex,age of the basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus patients(P>0.05).Conclusions 1. The expression rate of the Apoptosis Inhibitor Livin and Cyclin D1 notably increased in the basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus than in the normal tissue of nasus externus and suggested they participated in genesia and growth of the basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus.2. The expression of the Apoptosis Inhibitor Livin and Cyclin D1 had positive correlation in the basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus and indicated there being a feedback regulation mechanism in them and they both jointly contributed to the formation of the basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus. 3. The Apoptosis Inhibitor Livin and Cyclin D1 promote development and growth of the basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus through suppressing apoptosis and encouraging cell proliferation. The study provided the experimental evidence for the genesia in basal cell carcinoma of nasus externus and offered a new path for it,s genic targeted therapy.
