E-cadherin In Breast Cancer Tissue, C,-erbb-2 Expression And Its Sentinel Lymph Node Metastasis Research

Objective: To study the value of CK19 in detecting metastasis of sentinel lymphnode(SLN) in breast cancer,the expression of E-cad and C-erbB-2 in breast cancer andtheir relationship with metastasis of sentinel lymph node.Methods: Paraffin blocks of sentinel lymph node and cancinoma from 47 case ofbreast cancer were examined by immunohistochemical technique(SP) usingmonoclonal anti-CK19,anti- E-cad and anti- C-erbB-2 respectively.Result: The postive rate was 44.68％(21/47)by HE staining and the postive rate ofCK19 was 55.32％(26/47) in sentinel lymph node.The postive sentinel lymph nodes ofHE staining were postive by CK19 examing too.The postive rate of sentinel lymphnode metastasis that was examined by immunohistochemical staining usingmonoclonal anti-CK19 was significantly higher than that by using rountine HE. Thepostive rates of E-cad and C-erbB-2 expression without metastasis in breast cancerwere 23.81%(5/21) and 28.57%.The postive rates of E-cad and C-erbB-2 expressionwith metastasis were 50.00%(13/26) and 69.23%.Furthermore,they had significantdifference between without sentinel lymph node metastasis and with sentinel lymphnode metastasis(P＜0.05).Conclusions: Monoclonal antibody CK19 would a probe to detect sentinel lymph nodemetastasis,which can increase the sensitivity and the accuracy . E-cad expressionreduce and C-erbB-2 expression heighten with sentinel lymph node metastasis in breastcancer. Detecting of E-cad expressionandC-erbB-2 expression and sentinel lymph nodemetastasis in breast cancer can serve as a good index for the metastasis and prognosis of breastcarcinoma．...
