Objective: To investigate and assess the clinic effects of PPH assisted external hemorrhoids resection with in treating mixed hemorrhoids.Methods: To collect 227 inpatients that match with the diagnostic standards of mixed hemorrhoids from July, 2006 to December, 2007 in three clinical centers. In which 114 cases operated on by PPH assisted external hemorrhoids resection are divided as test group. While the other 113 cases by operated on by Milligan-Morgan are regards as control group. Observed indexes include operating time, length of stay, recovery time, curative effect score, anus function after operation and safety evaluation, etc. Statistical software SPSS15.0 was used to analyze the data. P<0.05 indicates conspicuous difference.Results: The operating time, length of stay, recovery time of the test group are shorter than the control group while curative effect score higher than it (P<0.05). The anus function after operation and safety evaluation has no conspicuous difference between control group.Conclusion: The clinic effects of PPH assisted external hemorrhoids resection is better than Milligan-Morgan. It can lower down recurrence rate, decrease complications, alleviate the discomfort after operation, restore the beauty of anal canal, deserve the clinical expansion as a simple, effective and safe methods. |
