Diagnosis And Treatment Of Low Back Pain Meridian Literature

ObjectivesAnalyzed the documents about treatment based on meridians and collaterals differentiation of the lumbago,studied the state of the field and the existing problems. Discussed the law of treatment based on meridians and collaterals differentiation of lumbago, provided a basis for improving clinic diagnosis and treatment,and provided the clinical reference for treatment based on meridians and collaterals differentiation of the lumbago.MethodsSearched the domestic large-scale periodical literature database,collected and sorted the published literatures about treatment based on meridians and collaterals differentiation of the lumbago of the past 10 years.Supplied manual searches.Classified through point selection based on meridians,therapeutic method,entity,used Microsoft Office Excel 2003 to input data and statistics data.Results1.Through the literature search,retrieved a total of 848 relevant documents,removed 353 documents which were duplicate and irrelevant,obtained a total of 495 clinical literatures. Screened for literatures in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Got a total of 100 literatures which met the requirements,20 of which were dealt with lumbago,but not pointing out disease name of Western medicine clearly.Classified the rest literatures as follows in accordance to the disease name of Western medicine:46 literatures on the acute lumbar sprain,17 literatures on the lumbar disc herniation,7 literatures on the lumbar muscle strain,2 literatures on the sciatica,2 literatures on lumbago due to intervertebral disc,1 literature on the lumbosacral joint injury,1 literature on branch of spinal nerve syndrome,1 literature on ankylosing spondylitis,1 literature on lumbar facet joint disorder,1 literature on hidden spina bifida,1 literature on lumbar hyperosteogeny.2.The 100 documents involved twelve regular meridian and eight extra-meridians 75 acupoints,392 times,including acupuncture therapy 62 times,massage therapy 20 times, drug therapy 2 times,comprehensive therapy 16 times.The literatures on the acute lumbar sprain were totally 46,which were involved with twelve regular meridian and eight extra-meridians 45 acupoints,106 times,acupuncture therapy 30 times,massage therapy 9 times,comprehensive therapy 9 times.There were 17 documents about lumbar disc herniation,involved twelve regular meridian and eight extra-meridians 39 acupoints,80 times,acupuncture therapy 7 times,massage therapy 3 times,comprehensive therapy 7 times.Conclusion 1.Throughout the literatures,treatment of the lumbago mainly selected points based on meridians,selected urinary bladder meridian,gallbladder meridian,the small intestine meridian and Du meridian,involved lung meridian,triple-jiao meridian,the pericardium meridian,liver meridian,stamoch meridian,spleen meridian,kiddney meridian,the beltmeridian,renmeridian.2.Common points were wei chung,shen shu point,cheng shan,kun lun,cheng fu,yin men,zhi bian,yang ling quan,xuanzhong,huant tiao,yao yang kuan,ming men,ren zhong,hou xi etc.3.Throughout the literatures,treatment based on meridians and collaterals differentiation of the lumbago,including acupuncture,massage,drugs as well as the joint use of above treatments.Aaccording to the documents,treatment of the lumbago applied acupuncture and massage as the main treatments.4.These literatures discussed more about acute and chronic lumbago of soft tissue injury,such as acute lumbar sprain,lumbar intervertebral disc disorders.
