Integrative Treatment Of Adhesive Intestinal Obstruction The Efficacy Analysis

Objective: The purpose of this study is to review the treatment efficacy of Western Medicine and integrated traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine for Adhesive intestinal obstruction .Method: 312 patients(163females and 149males)is divided into 2 groups,one group is treated by Western Medicine (The Group A) and the other group is treated by traditional Chinese and Western Medicine (The Group B) between June 1997 and June 2007 .144 patients( 68 females and 76 males)is in group A . 168 patients( 81 females and 87 males)is in group B .Results: A 78 cases fully recovered,the cure rate is 54.17% ;38 cases get better ,the effective is 26.39% ;28 cases no effect ;the ineffective rate is 19.44% . B 110 cases fully recovered,the cure rate is 65.48 %;48 cases get better ,the effective is 28.57% ;10 cases no effect ;the ineffective rate is 5.95% .Conclusions: We think treating Adhesive intestinal obstruction(AIO)by integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine is a good method .
