| Objective:To evaluate the levels of 6 trace elements:copper(Cu),zinc(Zn),iron(Fe), calcium(Ca),magnesium(Mg),lead(Pb) in Tourette' s syndrome children, and their changes in inter-type of TCM,providing information for the future clinical diagnosis and treatment.Method:By conducting a survey to Tourette's syndrome children and their relatives, using the "Tourette Syndrome Survey form" to get the disease's information, the form includes the survey of all the symptoms of Tourette's syndrome for Syndrome-based diagnosis in TCM using the mean of the organs differentiation.Take 40μl peripheral blood from the Tourette's syndrome children and the control group, adopt H-1500A Hitachi polarized Zeeman atomic absorption spectrophotometer for detection, use the Zeeman flame test to measure the levels of 5 trace elements:copper(Cu),zinc(Zn),iron(Fe),calcium(Ca),magnesium(Mg) in the blood, adopt the application of graphite furnace to measure the lead levels in blood, record the clinical symptoms and diagnosis, use the statistical software SPSS13.0 to analyze the datas.Results:1.Attendance ageIn this study, there are 404 cases of TS children, including the age of 4 to 6~- year-old in 59 cases, with an average age of 5.52±0.70 years,6 to 12 ~- are 254 cases, with an average age of 9.44±1.70 years,12 to 18~- are 81 cases, with an average age of 14.56±1.48 years. The average age is 9.92±3.15 years. The average age of 6 to 10 years for Tourette's syndrome in children in this study is in line with the reported age of the majority of Epidemiology and Statistics.2.Incidence of genderThis study in children with Tourette's syndrome,312 cases of male,92 cases of female, male to female ratio is 3.44:1,which is consistent with the reported incidence of clinical TS sex ratio.3.Tourette's syndrome in children with TCM syndrome distributionThe survey shows: The TCM Syndrome of Pi Xu Gang Wang in Tourette Syndrome has the mainly frequency for 167,which constitute more than 41.34%;followed by Pi Xu Tan Ju,frequency of occurrence for 130,which constitute more than 32.18%;The frequency of occurrence of Qi Yu Hua Huo is 98,which constitute 24.26%,the frequency of Ying Xu Feng Dong is 9,constitute a ratio of 2.22%. Tourette's syndrome on gender and TCM-based statistical analysis,P> 0.05, prompted gender composition of the TCM Syndrome has no significant difference. Tourette's syndrome and incidence of age(4 to 6~-,6 to 12~-,12 to 18~-) and TCM-based statistical analysis, the results of P>0.05,prompted TCM incidence in all age groups poses no significant difference.4.The relationship between the Tourette's syndrome in children with the main trace elements4.1 The relationship between the Tourette's syndrome in children with the main trace element;Copper(Cu).The copper level in the body of normal children:1.29±0.32μg/ml,the copper level in the body of TS in children:1.32±0.31μg/ml.By statistical analysis, the results of P=0.067> 0.05,showing that the copper level in the normal children and children with TS in vivo has no significant differences.4.2 The relationship between the Tourette's syndrome in children with the main trace element:Zinc(Zn).The zinc level in the normal:8.17±1.32μg/ml,the zinc level in the body of TS in children:7.81±1.27μg/ml.By statistical analysis, the results of P=0.000<0.05,showing that the zinc level in the normal children and children with TS in vivo has significant differences, and zinc in children with TS showed a relatively low level in vivo.4.3 The relationship between the Tourette's syndrome in children with the main trace element:Iron(Fe).The iron level in the body of normal children:345.09±31.53μg/ml,the iron level in the body of TS in children:340.28±28.47μg/ml.By statistical analysis, the results of P=0.006<0.05,showing that the iron level in the normal children and children with TS in vivo has significant differences, and iron in children with TS showed a relatively low level in vivo.4.4 The relationship between the Tourette's syndrome in children with the main trace element:Calcium(Ca).In this study, the calcium level in the body of normal children:55.71±6.14μg/ml,the copper level in the body of TS in children:56.26±5.48μg / ml. By statistical analysis, the results of P=0,120>0.05,showing that the calcium level in the normal children and children with TS in vivo has no significant differences.4.5 The relationship between the Tourette's syndrome in children with the main trace element:Magnesium(Mg).The magnesium level in the body of normal children:33.07±4.52μg / ml, the magnesium level in the body of TS in children:33.04±4.50μg / ml.By statistical analysis, the results of P=0.120> 0.05,showing that the magnesium level in the normal children and children with TS in vivo has no significant differences.4.6 The relationship between the Tourette's syndrome in children with the main trace element:Lead(Pb).In this study, the lead level in the body of normal children:0.0476±0.0182μg/ml,the lead level in the body of TS in children:0.0510±0.0151μg/ml. By statistical analysis, the results of P=0.000<0.05,showing that the lead level in the normal children and children with TS in Vivo has significant differences, and lead in children-with TS showed a relativelyhigh level in vivo.5.The trace elements levels of zinc, iron and lead in children with Tourette's syndrome in vivo between gendersBy T statistical tests,we found that zinc, iron and lead' s P>0.05,showing that the trace elements leyels of zinc, iron and lead in children with Tourette's syndrome in vivo between the genders have no significant differences.6.The trace elements levels of zinc, iron and lead in children with Tourette's syndrome in vivo between the difference TCM syndromes.Through the ANOVA,zinc and iron's P>0.05,meaning that the Zn and Fe levels between the TCM syndromes have no significant differences, and Pb' s P=0.037 <0.05,showing that the lead levels between the TCM syndromes has significant differences, and Pi Xu Tang Ju has the highest levels, followed by Qi Yu Hua Huo,Pi Xu Gang Kang, suggesting that the main trace elements of lead in children may affect the major clinical manifestations of the Tourette Syndrome of Chinese medicine-based evidence for the TCM syndromes.Conclusions:1.Tourette' s syndrome in children to 6 to 9~- year-old has the highest incidence rates, and boys are higher than girls.2.In the TCM-based distribution, the most common is Pi Xu Gan Kang, followed by Pi Xu Tan Ju,Qi Yu Hua Huo and Yin Xu Feng Dong.3.The six major trace elements(copper, zinc, iron, calcium, magnesium, lead), the zinc and iron levels in children with Tourette's syndrome are lower than the children with normal physical examination, but lead levels are higher.4.The main trace elements zinc, iron and lead in children with TS in vivo between genders has no significant differences.5.The main trace elements zinc, iron in children with Tourette's syndrome among the various TCM syndromes have no significant differences, but lead has,and Pi Xu Tang Ju has the highest levels, followed by Qi Yu Hua Huo,Pi Xu Gang Kang, suggesting that the main trace elements of lead in children may affect the major clinical manifestations of the Tourette Syndrome of Chinese medicine-based evidence for the TCM syndormes. |
