Trace Element Nutrition Balanced Diabetes Diet

A new food therapy prescription was made in this paper, based on three principles of nutritional ecology. The prescription is used to lower diabetes patients' blood glucose level with trace elements supplement and therapy. There are three parts in this paper.1.The study of trace elements imbalance in diabetes patients: Comparing trace elements level of patients with normal ones', and with cluster analysis, we find out that there exists an imbalance with trace elements metabolism in diabetes patients' body, and also a big difference on the total trace elements level between diabetes patients and normal ones. The experimental data provide scientific basis for the study of trace elements on physiological action and on food therapy about diabetes.2.Making up a prescription for food therapy on diabetes: with the determination of trace elements by AAS, we can learn that most of those plants used in diabetes's food therapy are rich in some elements which are the very deficient ones in diabetes patients. The need of trace elements in patients, the distribution feature of elements in plants, and the best use of rich plant resources in western region are considered, a prescription for trace elements therapy on diabetes can be made up.3. The verification of anti-hyperglycemia effect and safety of the prescription of diabetes food therapy: With the anti-hyperglycemia and acute toxicity test of alloxan-diabetic mice, it can be proved that theprescription has the effect of reducing blood glucose level, and also it is safe for people to eat. Both experiments verify that the prescription is effective in adjusting the imbalance condition of elements in patients. At the same time, the food therapy tests on diabetes volunteer are carried out, the experimental result testified that conditions of most patients are better. A prescription of diabetes food therapy was made up in the paper, based on the theory of nutritional equilibrium of trace elements, which is a new point in the field of nutritional ecology. A series of scientific methods used in this paper provides a better study model in the prescription of food therapy, avoids the shortcuts of traditional study of food therapy. Combined theory with practice, the prescription on diabetes food therapy is made up. Its components are simple, and materials are easy-got, cheap, and safe. But most of all, the prescription has anti-hyperglycemia effect. It will be a prospective functional healthy food product in market.
