Professor Wang Lie Three Sub-rule Treatment Of Children With Cough Variant Asthma Experience

Professor Wang Lie, an advisor of postgraduates in clinical medicine, has discovered a special type of cough in his years of clinical practice. This type of cough takes repeated paroxysm as its main or unique clinical manifestation. Based on his practice, observation, and studies on treating this type of cough by adopting a method of"Proving Therapies By Prescription", Professor Wang Lie claimed that patients suffering such a cough can be cured by adopting the same therapies for asthma. He invented an Rx of Three-Period-Treatment which has proved to be effective in clinical practice.This article focuses on the clinical experiences of Professor Wang Lie in treating the young child's coughs variant asthma with the Rx of Three– Period– Treatment . In an experiment designed, 60 patients suffering such a cough were divided into two groups. In the first period of the three periods of treatment, Xiao Ke Yin was adopted with Xiao Ke Chuan capsule. It was used again but with Huan Xiao Tang Decoction and Fang Xiao Tang Decoction respectively in the second and the third period of treatment. In order to obtain a conference through comparison, corresponding prescriptions for reducing phlegm and relieving cough were adopted in the treatment of the comparison group. It turned out at the end of the experiment that the first group of patients was better than those in the comparative group in terms of time for symptom improving and relapse rate. Remarkable difference exists between these two groups (P < 0.05). Thereby we can draw a conclusion that the principle of"Proving Therapies By Prescription"of three-period-treatment is more effectively than the conventional principle of"Proving Therapies By Cough".
