Purpose: By 38 cases of lung cancer in patients with malignant pleural effusiontreatment group-control study, to observe the methods of traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment of malignant pleural effusion of lung cancer clinical efficacy, understanding of traditional Chinese and western medicine at Ways enhance quality of life of patients and reduce the toxicity of chemotherapy drugs and other advantages.Method: Randomized controlled trial will follow the principle of 38 cases ofpatients were divided into treatment group and control group all 19 cases. Using built-in chest tubes to release the net pleural effusion, in the control group into the cavity and cisplatin Utilins injection, the treatment group were Draba date Xie Fei Tang Lingguizhugan Decoction oral treatment.Results:1. The treatment group complete remission (CR) 11 cases, partial remission (PR) 8 cases, remission rate of 79.17%; control group, complete remission (CR) 7 cases, partial remission (PR) 5 cases, remission rate of 50. 55%. Two groups by the statistical test calculated x~2 P = 0.035, less than 0.05, there is significant difference;2. KPS score compared with those before treatment, seven cases of patients with the treatment group increased 20 points, 10 cases of patients with high 10 points, increase rate of 70. 83%; three cases of patients with the control group increased 20 points, seven cases of patients with elevated 10 minutes , increased the rate of 41. 67%. Two groups by the statistical test calculated x~2 P = 0.042, less than 0.05, there is significant difference;3. Toxicity, the treatment group, nauseaing, white blood cell count below the normal lower limit and the sick shivering fever example 1, the positive rate of 12. 50%; control group, two cases of nausea and vomiting, 3 patients had low white blood cell count in the normal lower limit of 3 cases shivering fever, one patient had fever chills nausea and vomiting combined, the positive rate of 37.50%. Two groups by the statistical test calculated x~2 P = 0.046, less than 0.05, there is significant difference.Conclusion:1. Ways of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine in the treatment of malignant pleural effusion in lung cancer can effectively control the growth rate of pleural effusion.2. Ways of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine in the treatment of malignant pleural effusion in lung cancer to better improve the patients quality of life, to alleviate the suffering of patients, while up to a certain extent reduce the chemotherapy drugs on the body side effects.
