Purpose: This experiment to study Weisi Capsule on the natural aging mice skin superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, malondialdehyde (MDA) content, hydroxyproline (HYP) content, and the mouse skin under light microscopy and Electron microscope structural change.Material and method: 2-month-old Kunming will be as normal mice The control group (A). 30 Kunming 14 months old varieties mice were randomly divided into three groups: the model group (B), Weisi Capsule group (C), vitamin tablets E·C Group (D). Group A and Group B to the saline water, Weisi Capsule Group(C) to the capsule suspension gavage, D Group to the EC vitamin tablets suspension gavage. Gavage delivery shed one month after the mice were killed, the skin from his back to scapular biochemical analysis of SOD activity, MDA and HYP content and production of light and electron microscopy specimens.Results:1. Model mice skin SOD activity was significantly lower than the control group (P<0. 01); MDA were significantly increased (P<0. 01); hydroxyproline were significantly reduced (P<0.01), pathology biopsy showed the aging-state.2. Compared with the model group, Weisi Capsule group and vitamins E·C group SOD activity was significantly enhanced (P<0.01) ; MDA was significantly reduced (P<0. 01) ; hydroxyproline were significantly increased (P<0. 01).Conclusion:1. Weisi Capsule delaying natural aging mice with skin aging effects.2. The mechanism may be the one hand, Weisi Capsule itself with the removal of free radicals; On the other hand Weisi Capsule can improve SOD activity to achieve the purpose of anti-oxidation, anti-skin-to achieve the purpose of aging.
