The Iabp In The Old Elderly Patients With Acute Myocardial Infarction Complicated With Cardiogenic Shock

Objective To evaluate the impact of intra-aortic balloon pumping (IABP) on the old elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) complicated with cardiogenic shock and investigate the efficacy of IABP in the old elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated with cardiogenic shock.Methods A total of 12 cases of the old elderly patients with AMI complicated with cardiogenic shock were treated with IABP.Results 12 patients received revascularization treatment, 10 patients survived during hospitalization, 2 patients died, including 1 postoperative day 5 died due to cardiac rupture, the other died due to malignant arrhythmia after 2 weeks . The rate of survival is 83.3%. 10 patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated with cardiogenic shock patients survived after emergency coronary intervention and IABP treatment . Aortic diastolic pressure,mean arterial pressure and CI of 10 patients increased after emergency PCI and IABP treatment from eoperative (31.0±10.0) mmHg,(44.2±8.35) mmHg and(2.01±0.2)L·min^-1/m² to surgery (62.0±10.2) mmHg,(72.0±8.46) mmHg and(2.8±0.3)L·min^-1/m² (P <0.05). Heart rate significantly decreased from the preoperative (120±25) beats / min down to surgery (87±15) beats / min. The clinical symptoms were improved significantly and the hemodynamic were stabilized.Conclusion The old elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock patients, IABP can stabilize hemodynamic and effectively reduce the myocardial infarct size, in order to gain time for revascularization therapy, thus raising the survival rate, and provide an important reference value for future acute myocardial infarction in elderly patients with cardiogenic shock complicated application .
