Chinese Main Theme Of The Movie's Commercial Analysis

Chinese Mainstream Film takes a dominant role in Chinese film industry but it takes a tortuous path in the development because of its coaching style, in the ignorance of artistry. However, in the late 90s, Chinese Mainstream Film started to change according to the massive culture and become popular to the audience. At the mean time, the audience becomes much more interactive with the mass media which forms a sound environment for the Chinese film industry.This thesis studies the commercialization of Chinese Mainstream Film, taking the hot movie"The Founding of a Republic"for example. The thesis consists of five parts; the first part explains the concept and two qualities of Chinese Mainstream Film: ideology and commercialization. The second part tells the current situation of Chinese Mainstream Film, which is the mixture of dilemma and opportunity. The third part is the literature review, collecting and analyzing experts'masterpieces in two categories: commercialized production and commercialized releasing. The forth part is the most important part and it explains the commercialized production and commercialized releasing in detail. The fifth part is the summary.This thesis takes the method of brief survey and the method of case study, collects and analyses the documents and literature written by Chinese scholars, puts the commercialization of Chinese Mainstream Film into two categories of commercialized production and commercialized releasing by the case study of"The Founding of a Republic", released in last year.Should it be commercialize or not of Chinese Mainstream film? The great success of"The Founding of a Republic"gives us a perfect demonstration and it guide the development direction of Chinese Mainstream Film in some way.
