This thesis is taken novelistic creation of Li Bihua as the research object, and the key point is to explore the legendary love in her novels. Under the historical and social background of Hong Kong, we strive to summarize the mastery of emotion and value orientation which are implicated in her works through means of unscrambling Feminism in Li Bihua's novels. Meanwhile, through contrasting with reality, we need to have a thorough grasp of historical, social, aesthetic and philosophical connotation in her love stories, and to re-examine and perceive the literary value of them. The main point in this essay is Li Bihua's multiplex contemplation in the legendary novels and the deep contemplation of the identification of humanity,world,identity which are expressed unobviously.The thesis is divided into six parts: the first part is introduction; the second part is how Li Bihua thinks of the love in the world; the third part is the types of love represented in Li Bihua's novels; the fourth part is the orientation of emotional value in her works; the fifth part is how she writes love; the sixth part is the practical thoughts to the legendary love.The introduction falls into three parts. The first is a general overview of Li Bihua's life,works and the features of her works; The second is the macroscopic survey of present condition of Li Bihua's works which carry the primal summary of the diversification and the open-ended trends of Li bihua's novels in two fields-cultural and literal; the last is the enumeration and the elaboration of the research methods in this thesis.The second part consists of two aspects. Mainly from Li Bihua's ideas of love and the different humanities implicated behind her love stories. Through the case study of her novel-Green Snake,analyzing her attitudes to the love in the world and piercing into the most essential and original features in love and humanity.In the third part, along with the vibrant and vivid characters in her novels, the three representative emotional types-infatuation, unfaithfulness and true feelings in Li Bihua's novels are being discussed separately to meet the need of dissecting the relationship between man and woman and the conflict between sense and sensibility of the character's inner world.In the fourth part, the gender theory is used to analyze both sexes in Li Bihua's novels. By means of scrutinizing the text of her love stories to take a further step to understand the fateful color implied in her writing. Use her neo-feminism writing perspective to dig the mastery of emotion and value orientation in her books under this perspective.The fifth part is an analysis of the description of love in Li Bihua's novel which is divided into three respects. One is studying the love which steps over various boundaries in Li Bihua's novels through the writing method of contrasting. Another is starting from the unique interpretation of women characters in Li Bihua's novels to seek her Aesthetic criteria deeper.The last is considering the twisted love and hatred of the characters in Farewell My Concubine, to reveal the different psychology of love under the abnormal love in modern city love which is implied by Li Bihua's novels through the complex humanity reflected by love, thus showing her works contain with the past, the present and the future and combined with the elements like the times, desire, humanity and so on.Last but not the least, dissecting the Hong Kong Complex implicated in Li Bihua's works. Comparison was made between Li Bihua and the female writers of the corresponding period-Yi Shu and Liang Fengyi under the creation prosperity of Hong Kong women in the 1980s. While giving prominence to Li Bihua's deep ideological content, it also reflects the pluralism of Hon kong romantic fiction creation.
