Pan He is the first generation of sculptors who grew up in the New China, The Life and Art of his across the whole of PRC's history, he spent his whole life to create so many works. The theme of his works covers the history of Modern China, from the Opium War, The Taiping Movement, the Revolution of 1911, May 4th Movement of 1919, The join of the Red Army in Jinggangshan, Red Army, the Red Army long march, Anti-Japanese War, The people war of liberatio to the establishment of the PRC, The land reform movement, The Cultural Revolution and so on. His creation covers nearly a hundred years of New China, stand for the development of the Chinese sculpture in a hundred years. We can find out the characteristics of the different works in every times from his creations, from the works of in the early times,,,, to, , in the later. They take the signs of the works in different era. As the research category of modern art history. this context uses the works of Panhe as the point to cut in and with the development of sculpture in new china as its research object, combined a large number of original historical materials and try to define his status and role in the history of sculpture, explore the clues and developments of sculpture in the history of New Chinese sculpture.
