Zhengzhou Erlitou Study

Till now, hundreds of remains of Erlitou culture have been found in many districts. Because of the distinction of nature environment and the imbalance of the archaeological development between different areas, many scholars begin their in-depth study with the division of Erlitou culture's remains according to the different geographical environment.The thesis take the remains of Erlitou culture in Zhengzhou district as the mainly study object, select out the typical remains of Elitou culture in Zhengzhou district, such as Dashigu, Shuhe and Luodamiao remains, utilize the research methods of stratigraphy and typology of archaeology, through the study of typical remains of Erlitou culture in this district, divide the remains into four stages so as to observe the development disciplines of pottery and the culture exchange between the remains of Erlitou culture in Zhengzhou district and other neighboring areas. Through the analysis of the geographical position, culture connotation and communication with neighboring district, discuss the quality of Erlitou culture of Zhengzhou district. According to the records of the document, the Erlitou culture of Zhengzhou district is conjectured to be a vassal state or a military operation town at that time of Xia culture.
