Strokes Charm

Stroke, as an important mean of expressing ideas in painting language, has the independence of the aesthetic value in the field of painting art. Also, it connects a bridge between artists and viewers by its rich expressive force and convergence of emotion. This paper studies the characteristics of painting in different periods to know the expression and the flavor of an artist with his own artistic talents and rich inner feelings. Moreover, on the basis of research, painting language with my distinguishing features of stroke is found.This paper has three parts. To be more exact, chapter one mainly introduces the study of origin, methods, innovation and the overview of researches in the past. The second chapter discusses my process of creation from three different perspectives, including the emotional factors and some specific viewers of stroke, research on the expression and abstraction of stroke, and exploration of personalized stroke. The third chapter describes the changes of stroke and its development in the future through investigating the history, the current development and the trend of painting.
