The Zhengyi Magazine Study

As a large comprehensive journal,Zheng Yi magazine published after the second revolution for the purpose of promoting political reform and fostering social morality.The magazine was founded in January,1914,and stopped in June, 1915, there were 9 issues of the magazine had been published in all. Although the magazine lasted for a short time, as one of the magazines which protested Yuan Shikai,it was presentative at that time,and it played an important role in the party political propaganda. In addition, the magazine concerned many sides of social such as economic and education, and it objectively reported the current situation in home and oversea at that time. Therefore, through the analysis of these contents, we can understand that it played an important role in disseminating the party political and protesting Yuan Shikai. At the same time ,it is helpful to explain and understand the current situation when Yuan Shikai came into power.The article is divided into eight parts. The first part mainly introduces the background, the purpose, the authors, the conditions of operating and the reasons for suspension of Zheng Yi magazine,it helps people grasp and know the magazine's basic condition in whole.The second part first briefly describes Political parties and party newspapers, and then mainly analysis the thought of the magazine Party political and the status of political parties.It lays the good foundation for the latter contents.The third part criticisms the reactionary reign of Yuan Shikai and bureaucratic politicians. Moreover,it daringly discloses his crime of betraying the country,These contests fully embodies the magazine's attitude against Yuan Shikai.The fourth part systematically elaborates the magazine's views in side of Chinese political.Through its political opinions we can understand the magazine's purpose of limiting Yuan Shikai.The fifth part introduces the magazine's views in economic,education and other social construction aspects, it also concerned other problems such as society construction.The sixth part first explores the reasons for the thoughts of ethical retrieval, and then mainly introduces the thoughts of ethical retrieval and criticizes the fall of moral fall,we can know that the magazine hoped to improve political and the transformation of society by cultivating national new moral.The 7th part objectively reports the first world war and the problems such as negotiation between China and Japan.It is useful to open people's vision and make people understand the current situation in home and oversea in good time and have more clear and proper understanding of Yuan Shikai.The 8th part summarizes the role and impact of the magazine at that time.As a newspaper against Yuan Shikai which was published after the second revolution, Zheng Yi magazine started with the gesture of against Yuan Shikai on the stage.Because of complex politics,they could make certern choice according to the specific circumstances of struggle with Yuan Shikai, so it's not thorough enough against Yuan Shikai, and had some limitations.So to speak, in order to expand its momentum and strive for the issue for public opinion,the magazine waged the activities of protesting Yuan Shikai and Propaganda its party politics. But we cannot ignore its position and function in society. Although the magazine lasted for a short time, it had distinctive characteristics of The Times and engendered broad impact in that time .Therefore, we should take objective attitude.
